OGER · A well-kept home, season after season.
The insight and advice your home needs.
I advise and support individuals and organisations at the moments when their property needs technical support. Before a purchase, to prepare works or to clarify an uncertain situation, I provide documented observations, clear priorities and a local point of contact, for an intervention proportionate to your needs. Where the complexity of the property or estate justifies it, longer-term technical follow-up may be offered. English spoken throughout.
01Who I work withYou own one or more homes.
Private owners, families, joint owners and family property companies (SCI), associations and small businesses, whether you live nearby or far away.
02When I can helpSeveral issues, little time, no one to ask.
You live far away, the house is shared between heirs, works are on the horizon, documents are scattered, maintenance has fallen behind, or a decision feels hard to make.
03What I offerTechnical support, from a one-off visit to the longer term.
Technical visits, diagnosis and advice, preparing works and comparing quotes, and a house file kept up to date. Longer-term technical follow-up when the diagnosis justifies it.
04What you gainOne point of contact, a view of the whole house.
Information made readable and kept up to date in a single file, clear priorities and someone who knows the house. You keep the decisions; I help you prepare and communicate them.
What I do
Four services, each with a clear scope.
01Targeted technical visitOne specific problem to understand.
Targeted technical visit: damp, roof, crack or storm damage, with a short note and recommendations.
02Pre-works assistancePrepare before committing resources.
Pre-works assistance: clarify the brief, consult contractors and compare their quotes before works begin. Individually quoted.
03Initial assessmentKnow the state of your house.
Initial assessment: the state of the house, its priorities, indicative budgets and a calendar.
04Technical follow-upKeep the file current where there is a clear need.
Technical follow-up: individually quoted after the Initial assessment, only where complexity or specific points to review make it useful. Visits and deliverables are agreed for your property.
I do not make regular visits, open or close the house, keep keys or clean. These are the job of local concierge services, and I am happy to work alongside them.

Why owners abroad call on me
A house you rarely see needs a clear plan.
01Your house stays empty for longer.Up to 90 days in any 180-day period since Brexit.
Since Brexit, UK nationals without a visa can spend up to 90 days in any 180-day period in France. Knowing the weak points of the house tells you what to watch and what to fix first.
02Your insurer may set conditions.A dated report records the state of the house.
Many French home insurance policies set conditions when a house is empty for a long time. Check yours: a dated report records the state of the house.
03Storms on this coast are real.Photos, a short note and what to do next.
After Storm Ciarán in November 2023, many owners waited weeks to find out what had happened to their house. A targeted visit after storm damage gives you photos, a short note and what to do next.
04French firms, in French.Quotes read with you, reported back in English.
When works are needed, I help you choose which firms to consult, read their quotes with you and report back in English. Nothing is ordered without your agreement.
05No lettings, no sales, no commission.I am paid only by you.
I don’t run holiday lets or changeovers, I don’t sell property and I take nothing from tradespeople. I am paid only by you, so I can tell you exactly what I see.

Tell me about your house.
The first call is free and without commitment. Tell me where the house is and how often you use it, and I will tell you what I would check and what it would cost.
